Your Gifts & Giving
Information on Making Charitable Donations to Free Gift Ministry.
The work of our ministry would not be possible without the generous donations of people like yourself. Having considered the reasons and having developed your personal philosophy for giving, Free Gift Ministry hopes that you will participate by making a monthly cash pledge or a one time cash donation. If you cannot contribute financially, you may consider donating physical items such as clothing and food. Please also consider donating your time as a volunteer. The following is a list of items we are currently accepting:
MONEY (Cash, Check, Stocks). Monetary donations in the form of cash, checks or gifts of stock are always needed and appreciated. Through your monetary gifts we can directly provide assistance to those facing homelessness or an interruption of their utility services. Whether you are an individual or a business, please consider helping the needy in your community by extending your hand in the form of a direct monetary donation.
FURNITURE. All furniture items are sold at our garage sale. Furniture and other large donations are eagerly sought due to the increased financial gain upon their sale.
COMPUTERS. Complete Systems, Monitors, Keyboards, Laser Printers, Inkjet Printers, Scanners, Laptops, Software
NON-PERISHABLE FOOD & PERSONAL HYGIENE PRODUCTS. Rice, Pinto Beans (canned and dried), lentils, flour, meso, tomato ketchup, sugar, powdered milk, canned milk, tomato sauce, Peanut Butter, Soups, Spaghetti Sauce, Canned pastas, Canned Fruit, Canned Vegetables, Spaghetti, Jelly, Cereal, Detergent, Toothbrushes Toilet Paper, Diapers, Toothpaste, Razors (Disposable), Deodorant, Bar Soap, Shampoo, Shaving Cream
CLOTHING. Free Gift Ministry is in constant need of clean, gently used clothing. Donations are sold at our garage sales. Clothing is also distributed directly to clients in need. All showroom clothes donations are otherwise open and available for sale to the general public. We discourage sneakers, socks, under or intimate apparel unless new and prepackaged. Also, we discourage donations of clothing that is badly soiled, has visible defects or have manufactures labels removed. These items will be discarded on inspection. Finally, for items that you know have special value, please give us information as to worth to aid us in setting a fair price. Wedding dresses, veils, shoes are also accepted.
VEHICLES. Free Gift Ministry accepts the donations of cars, trucks, boats, RVs and motorcycles.
COOKING-DINING. The demand for small kitchen appliances, dinnerware and cookware on our W.A.R.M. Treasures Thrift Shop is constant. If you have duplicates or items you find you do not use, they can be put to good use through your thoughtful donation. Be confident that you are not only helping to raise money for our the community but also helping needy families through reasonably priced home essentials.
TOYS-GAMES. Toys are an extremely popular section of the W.A.R.M. Treasures Thrift Shop. Sale of your donations of unused toys and games will not only raise funds for the Ministry but provide needy families with items for their children at prices they might not otherwise be able to afford. This is especially true during gift giving seasons. When donating toys and games please be conscious of their usability and safety. We prefer items in fine condition and needing no repair. We cannot make use of items with significant missing parts (especially puzzles and games). We prefer such items as jigsaw puzzles be with original seal as we cannot otherwise guarantee pieces are not missing.
BOOKS, BIBLES & MEDIA. The book and media section is one of the busiest sections of the store. Repeat customers come back year after year. Our special "Inspiration and Religious" section offers a variety of reading items. These items allow the reader to learn in depth about the Christian life and how to cope with life situations. Beyond raising funds for the organization, your donations may have additional benefit to the community in providing inspiration. We generally accept all types of books and media, including both hardback and paperback books, recent magazines, CDs, cassettes and vinyl records. Please be aware that we cannot make use of magazines unless specialized in nature ( i.e. Smithsonian, etc.). and no more than 3 months old. Paperbacks with covers missing will be discarded. We cannot accept books that in any way demean or are against the Christian ethics of the WARM organization. Due to copyright regulations, we cannot sell or make use of home recorded videos or cassettes
